A New Change

So a new change has occurred and although it may not mean much to non-photographer type people, switching over from a Nikon to a Canon is a fairly big deal. And it’s exactly what I’ve gone and done. I’ve ditched the Nikon to spice things up with a new Canon 7d. Why you ask? For this little feature below -

Yeah the 7D allows full 1080i HD video recording. So hopefully, this will also mean more creativity. Expect more to follow….

Howdy people! Been a while but had a real busy couple of weeks see here’s a sneak peak of what I’ve been up to.
Just finished up this site with Adi Gilbert of 99Seconds. It’s for a Accountancy firm based in Worcestershire and we decided on a fairly simple and clean HTML site but utilising some nice Jquery scripts to make parts run smoothly. Full site at www.njraccountancy.co.uk

A couple of weeks back, I also finished this site, The Steve Peat Syndicate. It is for a new venture from world renowned MountainBiker Steve Peat. The site was designed by Andrew Browning and built, by myself using the Wordpress content management system. The site also uses some Jquery banner effects, a Twitter feed and Vimeo Video widget. I’ve also shot some recent product photos for a company but you will have to wait for those until their new site drops.

is good news right??
Well at least that’s what I tell myself! Been a busy couple of weeks with plenty of web work. Firstly been tweaking the ever popular trail blog – BuildTheWoods. Plenty of interest is a good thing and hopefully the site will continue to grow. I tweaked andwhat.co.uk which is the site of the excellent agency I work for so good look what we can do for you. I’ve also had other web things which I’ve been working on, but you may have to wait to more on that.

I was pretty stoked the other week when I got a call off studio buddy Adi Gilbert, saying he’s seen a strange medium format camera in some 2nd hand shop in the middle of Bedminster. Turned out it was a pretty nice looking Mamiya RB67 for a super good 2nd shop price. How could I refuse?
Well after putting the first roll of Provia100 through it, the slides came back and apart from a few light leaks from a slightly damaged bellows, theyve come out pretty good indeed. Fingers crossed I can get the leaks sorted (see below) and get this camera working to it’s potential.

Want to know what I look like? Well Andrew Browning put this together as a little feature for Digmore.co.uk. Basically a shot of all the locals showing their face, hands, feet and bike.
Myself and Will are up on the site so far but check back to Digmore to see more of the rapscallions the place has to offer.

Yo! Hope all is well with everyone.
Been working on this for the last week or so -

If you didn’t gather from the screen grab, it’s the brand new CASE BMX Magazine website that I’ve put together for them. It went Live yesterday although some more features are due to be added and some graphics need updating.
For all you techheads, it’s a custom wordpress theme utilising some wordpress plugins and designed using some JQUERY Banner sliders and CSS3 rounded corners.
Go check out CASEBMX and keep your eyes peeled and all that for some more updates.

Makes a change!
So moved in comfortably to the new studio, and getting my head down doing stuff.
The agency I work for, andwhat.co.uk, now have a blog dubbed andwhat’swhat and will be highlighting design, video’s, artists and just about anything else we like. It’s running a full custom wordpress theme along with a mobile version for all you iphone users out there.

Old Hagley boy Milo Brennan had a show in Cabot Circus last week and he got me to pop over to document it for him.

The new issue of CASE bmx magazine is out and I’ve got a small article I shot of Will Herrmann. Here’s a sneak shot of Will doing a moto out of a gap to wallride in Hotwells, Bristol. You can see the other photos along with Digmore’s George’s words and the rest of the mag by ordering a copy from the CASE website or picking up a FREE copy in local bmx shops (Crucial has plenty! for all you Bristolians)
